I can't believe it's almost Independence Day. I just photographed a high school graduation last Saturday and now next Saturday I'll be photographing fireworks. Even though summer officially started today, I already feel like it is flying by. Next thing I know, I'll be at the beach and then it'll be my birthday. Crazy! At any rate, to celebrate the upcoming holiday, enjoy some photos from a Fourth of July celebration held in 2009.

Rural sunsets...
Is there anything better than rural sunsets? The sun wresting on the hills, with sky displaying a variety of different hues. There's no editing when it comes to a sunset. What you see is too beautiful to be anything other than straight out of the camera goodness.
March Snow
Lately, our winters have been pretty sparse. Ever since the Snowmageddon of 2010, we haven't been getting a lot of snow each year. That's actually fine with me; I'm not a winter weather person anyway. But, one random day in March, we received more than 6 inches of snow in the matter of a few hours. Just because I don't love winter weather, doesn't mean I don't love a snow day. (But only if it's one day, two is pushing it.)

Flashback Friday: Fourth of July '10
I don't know why, but I'm feeling very into summer holidays right now. So, even though we're in the middle of Tropical Storm Angela and I should probably be featuring past storm damage and bad weather on today's Flashback Friday, I've instead decided to go with bright, sunny photos of a previous Fourth of July celebration. Just because we're not having sun right now doesn't mean we can't think about it, right?
